Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Connection issues between Trezor Bridge and your hardware wallet can be frustrating, but they're usually easy to resolve. The most common problem is that the bridge service isn't running properly in the background.

Start by checking if Trezor Bridge is actually running. On Windows, you can check the system tray for the Trezor Bridge icon. On macOS, look in the menu bar. If you don't see it, try restarting the application or your computer.

Another frequent issue is USB cable problems. Not all USB cables support data transfer - some are designed only for charging. Make sure you're using the original cable that came with your Trezor, or a high-quality replacement that supports data.

Browser extensions can sometimes interfere with Trezor Bridge. Try disabling other cryptocurrency wallet extensions temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. Also, ensure you're using a supported browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Brave.

Firewall and antivirus software might block Trezor Bridge from communicating. Check your security software settings and add Trezor Bridge to the whitelist if necessary. The software communicates on local ports and needs permission to do so.
